New Romahomes

The range of Romahomes now consist of the R30 ( Dimension), the R20’s based on the new Berlingo and R10 Solo. Unfortunately after the introduction of ESP in 2014 on light commercial vehicles we are unable to supply new coachbuilt Romahomes. Low mileage used 850 Berlingo chassis can be used to put new R20 bodies on, the lighter Berlingo chassis are not suitable as they will leave no “spare mass capacity” ( junk you can take with you!).Please contact us if you wish to discuss the supply of any van based models (R30, R10) or would like a new body on a used chassis for R20’s. I have available some 2012 Berlingo chassis suitable for the New R20 bodies all have less than 30000 miles and with a typically ordered spec would cost between £29000 and £30000 completed.

The R30 Dimension boasts a shower & toilet room, oven/grill, 4 burner hob, 60 litre fridge, mains 2nd battery & charging. 2 berths ( 2 singles or 1 double), 4 forward facing belted seats. Based on the Citroen Relay 2.2 litre Hdi Diesel.

The R20 consists of the R20 Lo and the R20 Hi. Both have 2 berths (1 double or 2 singles), 2 burners/grill, mains 2nd battery & charging, 60 litre fridge and the economies of a car. Based on the 1.6 90bhp hdi diesel Citroen Berlingo.

The R10 Solo is, as the name suggests, a single berth with all the basics as standard, including mains hook-up and charging, second battery, porta potti toilet, 2 burner hob with stainless steel sink, an extremely economic base vehicle the Citroen Nemo 1.4 Hdi has plenty of power to keep you up with the rest of the traffic.

As the picture suggests, I’m afraid I’m now out of all stock of vans for sale, The Romahome Factory on 01983 640380 will be stocking new and used Romahomes among other things.

I do still have some bits and bobs all Romahome related from various eras, as I get deeper into my sheds of interesting things more things come to light!

The 2 berth Romahome R30 is based on the Citroen Relay SWB 2.2 100hp hdi engine, it boasts 4 forward facing belted seats, shower /toilet, full oven with 4 burner hob, 3-way fridge, mains hook-up, 2nd battery, options we’d recommend would be Air con’ (£975), Fiamma Awning (£575) and blown air heating (£1100). Designed to be usable as both car and camper.

The New R 20. Based on the latest Berlingo chassis, this will be the replacement for the much loved Outlook and Hylo R20’s

This model is currently available on a new chassis, but can also be ordered on a used 850kg chassis without the latest ESP braking. An example cost on a 2012 chassis with air con and less than 30000 miles and a commonly ordered body spec would be between £29000 and £30000 all in.
